Licences

Q is open source. It is designed by Darren Knipe, and copyright © 2026 belongs to Dark Olive CIC.

  • The app and the node — GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later. Use it, change it, share it; if you run a changed version for others, you must offer them your changes too.
  • The libraries (q-core, q-ui, q-actions) — Apache License 2.0, so any project can read and write Q's formats.
  • The documentation — Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.

Not covered

  • The voice recordings (Darren Knipe's own voice) — all rights reserved; please do not reuse them.
  • The names and marks inQbeta, Q and Dark Olive — a changed version needs its own name.
  • Other projects' logos in the credits remain their owners' marks.
